On the 6th of May in the concert hall of KSMU there was held the ceremony, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The students and staff of the university gathered to honour memory of the dead, to thank and remember the great feat of the nation, having defended the native land. There were the Rector of KSMU, Honored Physician of the Russian Federation, deputy of the Kursk regional Duma, Doctor of Medicine, professor V.A. Lazarenko; the Vice-rector for educational activity and general issues professor P.V. Kalutsky; the Vice-rector for scientific work and innovative development professor P.V. Tkachenko; the Vice-rector of educational work, social development and public relations T.A. Shulgina; deans, heads of structural subdivisions, teachers, colleagues and students of the university.
After the concert all those present went to the square in front of the university to the monument of health workers who died in the lines of the Great Patriotic War. Near the monument there was a meeting, during which the Rector V.A. Lazarenko said about opening of the monument for the dead doctors during the war in Belgorod region.
All the speakers called on to remember the feat of those who fought in the lines of the war and to be worthy heirs of the Great Victory!
The meeting ended with laying flowers in front of the monument of health workers and general performance of the song «Victory Day».
