International Cooperation — in action!

In Kursk State Medical University there are continuing the events dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Faculty of Pharmacy.

On the 9th of April members of the Department of Pharmacology together with the 3rd-year students  of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Faculty of Pediatrics attended the master-class “Role of essential phospholipids in therapy of liver pathology from the perspective of evidentiary medicine”, which was held by the Doctor of Medicine, professor Carl-Joseph Gunderman (Germany). It was held as part of the international cooperation.

Such educational master-class are often held in our university for doctors of different specialties, interns, ordinators, but this time the event obtained international format. In the organization of such event the main role was played by the members of the Department of Internal Diseases of FPE. The 3rd-year students became participants of such conference for the first time, the language that was used there was English. It made the communication even more btighter. The students remained much satisfied with the course of lectures. There was illustrated in details the classification and given the characteristic of medications for treatment of this often met pathology. There were examined the mechanisms of action and aspects of medication choice in a certain clinical situation, gathered and presented a huge evidential base on use of essential phospholipids in therapy of liver pathology.

The students got acquainted with different forms of release of medications used in hepatology. At the end of the master-class there was held a discussion and the students could ask the lector questions, including those in English, to wich professor Gunderman tried to give simple and detailed answers. The Department of Pharmacology and the students thanked the lector for participation in such interesting and informative seminar and expressed their hope for continuation of kind traditions regarding improving the received knowledge and linguistic communication activity.
