Webinar without frontiers: traditions and innovations of international cooperation

On April 12th-14th in Kursk State Medical University at the Department of Russian Language and Culture of Speech there was held an international research and methodological conference-webinar “Methods of teaching foreign languages: traditions and innovations”.

This significant event became possible thanks to the collaboration of organizers: Kursk State Medical University, Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, Yerevan State Medical University named after Mkh. Heratsi and Belarusian State Medical University.

The vice-rector for Research and Innovation Development of KSMU P.V. Tkachenko addressed the conference participants with his welcome speech.

The event was held in webinar format, which is now very popular. With the help of online-broadcasting university professors from Moscow, Kursk, Astrakhan, Rostov-on-Don, Kazan, Smolensk, Minsk and Grodno could make reports, ask questions and take an active part in open discussions. There were 185 participants at the webinar.

During the conference there were raised current issues of search, development and introduction of new educational technologies and innovative approaches in teaching Russian and foreign languages. The participants shared their ideas, author methods, experience and achievements in the sphere of linguistics and languages teaching.

This virtual meeting passed in an unusually warm and friendly atmosphere, which united the representatives of linguistic and philological societies from different cities and countries.

It should be mentioned that such events undoubtedly help to strengthen the public image of our university and also play a great role in extension of academic relationships and international cooperation on the whole.
