On October 4, 2016 the delegation of Gomel region (Belarus) visited Kursk state medical university, the membership as follows: Motorenko V.I. – the chairman of Gomel regional organization of Belorussian healthcare workers’ labour union; Zimina N.A. – the vice-chairman of Gomel regional organization of Belorussian healthcare workers’ labour union; Vasilkov N.A. – the chead of the public health department of Gomel oblast government; Parkhomenko A.N. – the head doctor of the health care institution «Kalinkovichskaya Central District Hospital»; Prokoptsova Ye.N. – the chairman of the labour union of the health care institution «Kalinkovichskaya Central District Hospital»; Puzenkova Z.N. – the chairman of the labour union of the health care institution «Rechitskaya Central District Hospital»; Morozova Ye.P. – the chairman of the labour union of the educational institution «Gomel state medical university » (students’ labour union).
The vice-rector for continuous education and international cooperation, doctor of pharmaceutical sciences, Professor I.G. Komissinskaya and the head of the Administration for international relations Yu.Sh. Iobidze met the guests. The information representing the main periods in the history, traditions and directions of prospective development of the university aroused strong interest among the members of the delegation.
In the course of the visit there took place an international research and practice seminar «Russia – Belarus: modern opportunities of using practice-oriented technologies of simulation education in the training of an international level doctor», held at the premises of the interactive training laboratory of KSMU educational simulation center, where in the role of a “patient” in the reanimation ward there was the patient’s robot which imitated practically all human physiological functions both in the norm and with different pathologies.
Taking into account the number and the geography of the population of the foreign citizens studying at KSMU, as well as at Gomel state medical university, within the framework of the seminar there was discussed the issue of the development of a multilingual communication space which acquired particular relevancy in the modern age of globalization and internationalization of education and science. Such activities as attraction of foreign students, development of the academic mobility of the teaching staff and students, implementation of international academic programs, internationalization of scientific activities were recognized as important factors which promote the shaping of multilingual education environment.
