Celebrating the Indian Religious Holiday “Navaratri”

Every autumn and spring India celebrates a special religious holiday – Navaratri.  Navaratri is regarded as one of the most important Vedic holidays.

On October 8, 2016 in the assembly hall of the hostel № 6 under the guidance of the officers of the Administration for International Relations there was held an event dedicated to this festival.

Foreign students from India came together to worship their gods. They recited mantras, performed folk songs and folk dances. The meeting went cheerfully and lively.

Such events help foreign students to feel as a part of a big and close-knit students family, promote tolerant attitude towards the representatives of different religious denominations, which is one of the key tasks of the future doctors’ spiritual and moral education.
