On the 17th of November, 2016 in the lecture hall №1 there was held a meeting of the representatives of the law enforcement bodies of Kursk and Kursk region with the new foreign citizens, who came to our university for studying.
Present at the meeting were: the Rector of the university, Honored Physician of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Medicine, Professor V.A. Lazarenko; the division head of the Centre for Combating Extremism of the Administration of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Kursk M.I. Berezhnoy; the head of the department for the Protection of Public Order of the Administration of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Kursk D.Yu. Davidov; the chief inspector of the department of licensing and visa work of the migration directorate of the Administration of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Kursk region O.V. Batochko; the rectorate assistant for security D.N. Loyukov; the head of the basic safety, civil defense and emergency department of KSMU Yu.P. Avdeyev; the deputy head of the basic safety, civil defense and emergency department G.T. Yeremin; the head of the Administration for International Relations Yu.Sh. Iobidze; the rectorate advisor Chahine Mohamad Tufik; the dean of the international faculty professor Yu.D. Lyashev; staff members of the Administration for International Relations.
For a word of salutation the floor was given to the Rector, Honored Physician of Russia, Doctor of Medicine, Deputy of the Kursk Regional Duma Professor V.A. Lazarenko, who called the students to observe strictly the Russian legislation, the requirements of the university local acts, to follow the recommendations of the law enforcement officials.
At the meeting there were discussed issues concerning foreign students’ safety, observation of the internal code of conduct and dormitory rules in hostels, rules of conduct in the university, in the streets of the city, in public places, issues concerning the pass control on the university campus, responsibility for disciplinary violation, etc.
Preventative talks with foreign students contribute to their more effective social adaptation to the new socio-cultural, language and national environment, they are aimed at maintenance of peace and harmony in the interethnic field, as well as forming tolerant consciousness in the society.
