Days of Indian Culture in Kursk Region

For the purpose of widening of the bilateral cooperation between the Kursk region and the Republic of India the Days of Indian culture in the Kursk region were held on September 16 to 17, 2017.

The Embassy of the Republic of India in the Russian Federation organized workshops of various orientations.

The students of the international faculty and the staff members of the Administration for international relations took part in the events within the framework of the Days of Indian culture.

The foreign students visited the yoga workshop, the Indian dance and music workshops, the concert of Indian dances and music.

The participants of the events had the unique opportunity to enrich themselves getting an insight into the culture and national peculiarities of India, and the performers could introduce their cultural traditions to the inhabitants of Kursk and the Kursk region, to the Russian students and representatives of other countries, studying at our university.

The participation in culture events promotes the process of social adaptation of foreign students, respect for traditions and customs of the local community, prevention of ethnic hostility and xenophobia manifestations, cultivation of tolerant attitude to the representatives of various countries of the world.
