The Fifth Peace-Making Forum “We are different, we are one” dedicated to the National Unity Day was held on October 31, 2017.
Significant for all the Russians, this holiday dates back to heroic events of the year 1612, when the representatives of different confessions and nationalities united to stand up for the Russian statehood, to save their motherland from enslavement and alien yoke.
The primary aim of the forum is the conservation of the national traditions of all the nations and strengthening of the interethnic and intercultural dialogue.
The leaders of six KSMU communities of foreign students – from India, Malaysia, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Brazil, Thailand – visited this event.
The program of the Fifth Peace-Making Forum “We are different, we are one” is aimed at building tolerant consciousness and prevention of national extremism, including anti-Semitism in a civil society.
As part of the forum, there were presented projects on the peace-making activity of the Kursk regional department of the peace fund, on the cooperation of national social organizations.
