As part of the visit of the Kursk state medical university delegation to Malaysia the rector of KSMU, Honored Physician of the Russian Federation, Deputy of the Kursk regional Duma, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor V.A. Lazarenko and the Rectorate Advisor Candidate of Technical Sciences M.T. Chahine took part in the opening of the Russian centre of science and culture at the premises of the KSMU Representative office in the state of Sabah on February 21, 2018.
The opening ceremony of the Russian centre of science and culture was attended by the Deputy Governor of the state of Sabah, the mayor of the city Kota Kinabalu, the director of the social foundation “MARA”, the Deputy Minister of education of Sabah, the Consul of the Bruneian Embassy to Sabah, the head of Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in Malaysia, the director of the Russian centre of science and culture in Kuala Lumpur, the Consul of the Russian Embassy to Malaysia Dr Airat Akhmetov. At the event, the rector of KSMU Professor V.A. Lazarenko was given thanks on behalf of the Governor of Sabah for the training of highly qualified medical personnel for the state of Sabah.
It is at the Russian centre of science and culture that it is planned to hold events on advertising of KSMU educational services in the state of Sabah, meetings with applicants and their parents, introduction of the Russian culture, language and traditions to the residents of the state of Sabah.
