EDUCATIONAL WORK WITH FOREIGN STUDENTS DURING NEW YEAR HOLIDAYS

In order to provide the security of the foreign students, living in the hostels of KSMU and in the apartments, on the threshold of the New Year holidays the staff members of the Administration for International Relations provided   the off-schedule briefings to the foreign students concerning fire safety, safety precautions in emergency situations,    abidance by traffic regulations, impermissibility of going to water bodies and other potentially dangerous places, the rules of living in apartments.

During holidays the staff members of the Administration for International Relations and the dean’s office of the International faculty attended the hostels, where international students live, every day.

According to the plan of extra mass cultural, sporting and educational events for the foreign students of KSMU and as part of the work of the International friendship club and the adaptation program for foreign students, during the New Year holidays the tutors of the Administration for International Relations made the following work:

  • The foreign students from the hostel №5 went walking to “Boeva dacha” under the supervision of the tutor Kukarskikh I.A. The students played snowballs cheerfully and lively, took pictures, some of them tried skiing for the first time;
  • The foreign students from Malaysia together with the staff members of the Administration for International Relations Dremina T. F. and Nikiforova A.S. visited “indoor laser tag” – a labyrinth with the ultraviolet light on the order of cosmic space in the entertainment center «Central park». The participants immersed themselves in the atmosphere of absorbing cosmic fightings in real-time mode;
  • The foreign students from the hostel №6 together with the tutor of the Administration for International Relations Leonidova V.L. visited Kursk regional ethnography museum;
  • Visiting orphan homes on the Christmas Eve is a heart-warming tradition for the foreign students. This year on the initiative of the Administration for International Relations and the community of Sri-lankan students of KSMU together with the tutor of the hostel №4 Orobinskaya I.S. the students visited the regional special orphan home. They prepared to this meeting beforehand, gladdened the children by the congratulations and Christmas gifts.

Therefore, the optimization of the rest, leisure and temporary employment organizational system for the foreign students reduces the risk of the violations of the internal rules of conduct or fire safety rules and also forms the standards of the safe way of life.
