On the 18th of January, 2019 a ceremonial meeting devoted to the 40th Graduation of foreign students, specialty “Medicine” took place. 158 students from 12 countries (Malaysia, Sri-Lanka, India, Brazil, Nigeria, Ghana, Namibia, Zambia, Libanon, Germany,Thailand and Maldives) got the Diplomas of a physician.
The celebration was visited by the Rector of Kursk State Medical University, honored Physician of Russian Federation, Deputy of Kursk Regional Duma, professor V.A. Lazarenko, Vice-Governor of Kursk region, Professor I. G. Khmelevskaya, Chairman of Administration’s Committee of the Public Health V.N. Antzupov, Vice-Chairman of the Administration’s Committee of the Development of External Relations of Kursk region N.A. Loctionova, Vice-Chairman of Administration’s Committee of Education and Sciences of Kursk region I.B. Logutin, Council of the Ambassy of Malasia for education Syed Saifuddin Syd Ahmadthe, Vice-rector for educational activities and general issues professor P.V. Kalutsky, Dean of the International Faculty professor Yu.D. Lyashev, Head of the Administration for international relations Yu.S. Iobidze, Vice-dean of the International Faculty associate professor G.N. Goriainova, Head of the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Professor O.Yu. Ivanova.
Rector of KSMU professor V.A. Lazarenko congratulated graduates on getting the diplomas of physicians and wished them to be responsible doctors, to love their patients, to study medicine throughout the life. Addressing to the graduates Vice-Governor Professor I. G. Khmelevskaya on behalf of the Governor of Kursk region R.V. Starovoit informed the participants of the meeting about the support by Kursk region Administration to the international activity of the medical university. She emphasized that KSMU is one of the best medical universities fulfilling export of educational services abroad. She wished the young physicians to be worthy of the title of a KSMU graduate and remember Alma Mater forever, not to forget that the university has united the students of different countries, cultures, and religions. Vice-Governor also told that the Kursk region Administration will continuously support the university and it’s international educational affairs. Chairman of Administration’s Committee of the Public Health V.N. Antzupov congratulated graduates and wished them the best regards and a success at clinics of their motherland. He also thanked the Rector, Administration, and the whole staff of the university for training of the future medical doctors. On behalf of graduates Bebia Martin Etogo shared the memories of the students’ life and addressed the warmest words to their Alma Mater and graduates.
