Dear colleagues, students, residents, post-graduate students!
Please, accept my sincere congratulations on the 86th Anniversary of Kursk State Medical University! As you know, merits characterize a birthday person, not years. Today our university occupies leading positions among Russian universities according to the top rating agencies.
Since 1935 the university has trained more than 50 thousand doctors, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals. It is difficult to imagine medical institutions of Kursk region, Chernozem region, in which graduates of KSMU would not work. They work even far beyond the borders of Russia. Annually, more than 9 thousand students, residents and post-graduate students from 50 countries of the world study at our university. European, Asian and American states are among the scientific partners of KSMU.
The successes and achievements of the university are the results of work of the entire team, academic teaching staff, students. The high professionalism of the university staff, conscientious study and active life position of students allow KSMU to remain one of the best higher educational establishments in the Russian healthcare system. Today the university is a modern scientific and educational complex that meets all the needs of the state and society. In 2020 the Anatomical Theater was opened in the territory of the university – the first institution in the system of training medical personnel in modern Russia, where traditions and innovations work for one goal – high-quality training of future doctors.
The past year was not easy, but we coped with it, mastered a new distance learning format, maintaining a high level of medical education quality. Kursk State Medical University actively helps regional healthcare in the fight against COVID-19. University teachers and students have worked and continue working in the “red zone”, provide psychological assistance by the hotline, engage in volunteer activities. Thousands of people are involved in this great and important work.
I am proud to note that a graduate of KSMU, Denis Logunov, is the head of the “Sputnik V” Russian coronavirus vaccine development group.
With all my heart I wish you success in our difficult business, good health, strong immunity from adversity, achievement of all the goals!
Happy Birthday, Alma Mater!
