ALL-RUSSIAN CONFERENCE “POPULATION HEALTH: SOCIAL REGULATION IN THE CONDITIONS OF A CRISIS”

The All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation “Population Health: Social Regulation in the Conditions of a Crisis” was held on May 13-14, 2021 at Kursk State Medical University.

The conference was organized by the Department of Public Health and Healthcare of FSBEE HE “Kursk State Medical University” of the Ministry of Health of Russia (Head of the department – Doctor of Sociology, Associate Professor T.N. Kameneva) and Social and Political Research Institute of Federal Research Sociological Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences ( Deputy Director for Research and Educational Activities of SPRI FRSC RAS, Head of the Center for Youth Sociology – Doctor of Sociology, Professor Yu.A. Zubok).

More than 60 scientists from both Russia and other countries took part in the conference in a mixed format. Russian scientists from Moscow (FRSC RAS, Moscow State Institute of International Relations, Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry named after A.I. Evdokimov of the Ministry of Health of Russia, RSSU, etc.), Kursk (KSU, KSMU, Kursk Academy of State and Municipal Service), Rostov-on-Don (Southern Federal University), Barnaul (Altai branch of Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration), Belgorod (BelSU), Tyumen (Tyumen State Oil-Gas University).

The purpose of the conference was to exchange experience and knowledge, expand opportunities for cooperation in the educational and medical segment, which corresponds to the tasks of specific implementation of strategic plans in the field of public health protection. During two days, they discussed key problems and contradictions in social practices of social regulation and self-regulation of vital activity in conditions of the pandemic, ways of preserving and protecting health of various population groups and the organization of medical and social assistance.

Kursk State Medical University was represented by: Doctor of Sociological Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Public Health and Healthcare Kameneva Tatiana Nikolaevna (Attitude of Youth to Health in Conditions of the Pandemic), Director of the Center for Continuing Education Orlova Elena Mikhailovna (Healthy lifestyle Practices in Conditions of the Pandemic), Deputy Dean of the Faculties of Clinical Psychology and Social Work Konishcheva Evgenia Vasilievna (Risks of Health-preserving Behavior of Teachers During the Pandemic), Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Public Health and Healthcare Tarasenko Ivan Viktorovich (Responsible Behavior of Students in the Field of Health During the Pandemic), Candidate of Sociological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Public Health and Healthcare Boev Evgeny Ivanovich (Digital Contours of the Russian Healthcare) and others.

The conference program was rich: topical issues of public health, digital transformation of healthcare and medical education, issues of state regulation in the field of health protection, improvement of health preservation technologies in a crisis were discussed. Many reports were devoted to the problem of public attitudes towards health and healthy lifestyle in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Such scientific events contribute to the expansion of international and interregional contacts and open up new opportunities for further fruitful cooperation.
