On May 28, 2021, the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference “Immune Technologies in Laboratory Practice” was held at Kursk State Medical University. The conference was organized by the Laboratory of Biochemistry and the Laboratory of Experimental Surgery and Oncology of the Research Institute of Experimental Medicine, and held in a part-time format within the framework of the “Year of Science and Technology” complex of events. The event was attended by the university staff, postgraduate students, residents and students.
The purpose of the conference was to discuss the possibilities of using immune methods in a wide range of laboratory research, operation principles of modern equipment, technologies for studying the effectiveness and safety of new methods of diagnosis and treatment, as well as an invitation to cooperation in the implementation of scientific and innovative projects.
The conference was attended by Acting Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation Activity, Professor V.A. Lipatov, who greeted the participants on behalf of the rector of the university.
As part of the event, the specialists of “Dia-M”, the largest Russian supplier of laboratory equipment and consumables for research, Sergei Irkhin, Olga Makarevich and Natalia Bezzabotnova held several theoretical review lectures and master classes. The spectators were able to see the techniques of using imaging equipment for tissue and cell culture sections stained with fluorescent dyes, including for intravital imaging and equipment for immunoblotting.
The participants and listeners of the master classes showed a keen interest in the demonstrated research methods, and the full-time participants had the opportunity to work with the equipment with their own hands.
