KSMU STUDENT IS THE WINNER OF THE “VII RUSSIAN-WIDE CONGRESS ON MEDICAL LAW WITH INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPATION “TOPICAL ISSUES OF MEDICAL LAW AND BIOMEDICAL ETHICS”

On November 24, 2021, the VII National Congress on Medical Law with international participation was held, in which a student of the medical faculty of Kursk State Medical University took part. The event was organized by the National Institute of Medical Law, the National Agency of Medical Law, the Department of Medical Law of the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University.

Within the framework of the VII All-Russian Congress (National Congress) On medical law, an annual international forum bringing together representatives of the medical and legal community, organizers and regulators of healthcare, a school of young scientists “Topical issues of medical law and biomedical ethics” was held. According to the results of the competition, in the section “Peculiarities of the legal status of certain population groups in the field of health protection”, with a report “The problem of legal regulation of medical care for patients with oncopathology” (supervisor, Associate Professor of the Department of Public Health and Healthcare Simonyan R.Z.), 4th year student of the Faculty of Medicine Ksenia Alfimova took the first place.

Addressing the participants of the Congress with a welcoming speech, the head of the Department of Medical Law of the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, Honored Lawyer of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Sergeyev Yuri Dmitrievich, noted that today legal and economic information plays a decisive role in solving urgent problems of practical healthcare, contributes to the creation of a system of legal protection for both medical workers and patients. The All-Russian Congress (National Congress) on Medical Law with international participation is a unique platform for a community of professionals to gain practical experience in managing legal and financial risks in a medical organization, which contributes to the development of joint solutions aimed at organizing measures to improve the provision of medical care and discussing topical issues.
