An interregional New Year wrestling tournament was held at Kursk State University. Athletes from Bryansk, Voronezh, Belgorod and other regions of the Central Federal District competed in the disciplines “freestyle wrestling”, “pankration” and “grappling”.
The honor of the university was defended by students and residents, who became the winners and prize-winners of the tournament.
Freestyle wrestling:
- in the weight category 74 kg the winner is Mukhamed Saypudinov (3rd year student of the medical faculty);
- in the weight category 79 kg the winner is Abrek Berdiev (2nd year student of the medical faculty).
Grappling:
- in the weight category 92 kg, the winner is Khadzhimurad Shikhamirov (resident);
- in the weight category 71 kg the second place was taken by Abukov Amin (a 4th year student of the medical faculty).
Pankration:
- in the weight category 92 kg, the winner is Khadzhimurad Shikhamirov (resident);
- in the weight category +92 kg the second place was taken by Daniil Osipov (resident of the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry).
