Chess is loved and known in all corners of our planet. Previously, they were considered to be the exquisite fun of wisemen and rulers, but gradually they won the minds and hearts of everyone. This game came from distant and mysterious India more than 2000 years ago.
On January 9, 2022, a “Chess Competition” was held among students from India at Kursk State Medical University, in which students of the International Medical Institute took part. The organizers of the chess tournament were IMI educator Dugina M.V. and students of Indian community.
Among the chess players were boys and girls. A total of 22 people took part in the tournament.
During 4 rounds, the strongest won in a difficult struggle:
1st place – Palaniappan Palaniappan (4th year),
2nd place – Alam MD Samse (4th year),
3rd place – Arokia Doss Fransuva Joy (1st year).
