KSMU hosted the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Social Regulators of Metabolic Processes”
On December 16, 2021, the Department of Social Work and Life Safety held the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Social Regulators of Metabolic Processes” dedicated to the 30th anniversary of social work. The co-organizer of the conference was the Department of Endocrinology of KSMU, head of the social educational organization Sabina Gro (Germany, Meiningen). The Vice-Rector for Research Work and Innovative Development of KSMU, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Vyacheslav Aleksandrovich Lipatov addressed the audience with a welcoming speech and emphasized the rapid growth of the scientific potential of social science at the faculty. Dean of the Faculties of Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Economics and Management, Head of the Department of General and Clinical Psychology, Doctor of Psychology, Professor Tatiana Dmitrievna Vasilenko greeted graduates of the Faculty of Social Work, specialists and teachers from other regions of Russia and countries, spoke about the history of the opening of the Faculty of Social Work and peculiarities of training students at the medical university.
At the plenary session, from the report of the Head of the Department of Social Work and Life Safety, Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Associate Professor Tatiana Alekseevna Shulgina, the participants of the plenary session learned about the main modern approaches to implementing the theory of social exchange. Tatiana Alexandrovna Kirpichenko, Head of the Department of Active Longevity of the Regional Budgetary Institution of Social Services “Center for Social Services “Uchastie” of Kursk and Kursk Region”, spoke about social norms and rules in the framework of the interaction in the implementation of social work with older citizens in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Alla Viktorovna Muzychenko, Head of the Department of Psychology of Education and Personality Development of the Belarusian State Pedagogical University (Minsk, Republic of Belarus), Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Associate Professor, described in detail the experience of interaction between the participants of the educational process in creating a psychologically safe environment.
The reports of the plenary session determined the further work of 5 sections, including in English, the panel discussion “Social Education as the Foundation of a Personal Trajectory of Professional Development”, an open scientific circle of the Department of Social Work and Life Safety and a master class “Programs for Processing and Analyzing Sociological Information “Vortex”.
The panel discussion was attended by speakers – graduates of the Faculty of Social Work of different years – Alexander Alexandrovich Popov, Associate Professor of the Department of Economics, Management and the Humanities of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education “Kursk State Agricultural Academy named after I.I. Ivanov”, Candidate of Sociological Sciences, Anton Viktorovich Nemtsev, Head of the Department for Juvenile Affairs and Crime Prevention of the Administration of Kursk, Svetlana Alexandrovna Maistrenko, social work specialist of RBHI “Kursk Regional Multidisciplinary Clinical Hospital”, Alena Mamchur, social work specialist in a therapeutic center for people with addiction in Cologne (Germany).
The topics of the sections concerned the training of social work specialists in the modern world, the correction of social regulators of the lifestyle of the population of different age groups, modern approaches to the implementation of the theory of social exchange, as well as social regulators as mechanisms for the implementation of social relations in social assistance to people in difficult life situations.
During the master class “Programs for Processing and Analyzing Sociological Information “Vortex”” Denis Vadimovich Shkurin, the author of the “Vortex” program, PhD in Social Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Applied Sociology of Ural Humanities Institute of Ural Federal University (Yekaterinburg) showed how to work in the program that makes easy the sociological data processing.
At an open meeting of the scientific student circle of the Department of Social Work and Life Safety “Digitalization in the Implementation of Public Relations and Social Assistance in Personnel Training”, the speakers made presentations on the technologies of social work with former prisoners, prevention of suicidal behavior of adolescents, features of working with people with disabilities and people with health limitations.
10 countries of near and far abroad participated in the conference: Germany (Meiningen, Cologne), Mexico, Brazil, South Africa, India, the Netherlands, the Republic of Belarus, Maldives, Botswana, Malaysia. Also, participants from 6 cities took part in the conference: Yaroslavl, Orel, Moscow, Bryansk, Yekaterinburg, Kursk.
