This day rightfully occupies a special place among the holidays, as courage, patriotism and selfless service to the Motherland remain the enduring values of the Russian people.
There have been many terrible, tragic moments in the history of our Motherland when defense was the only possible way of survival for its citizens. On this significant day, let us bow our heads before the unparalleled courage of the warriors who died, defending and liberating our beloved homeland during the years of military trials.
We cherish the memory of those who managed to defend the integrity and independence of our native country. We remember with special feeling the students and doctors of the Kursk Medical Institute who remained on the battlefields of the Great Patriotic War.
It is impossible not to note the feat of medical workers who, as part of their profession, daily protect the health and safety of our fellow citizens, showing their best qualities: high professionalism, dedication, perseverance, willpower, kindness and compassion.
Today, the defense of the Motherland is manifested in the contribution of each of us to the common cause – building a civil society, preserving cultural and spiritual values, helping people. Our future depends on what kind of specialists today’s students will become; the future of our Motherland depends on what human qualities they will be endowed with.
