On March 5, meetings were held with students of KSMU – foreign citizens who are currently in Kursk. In total, more than 1,800 students were present at the events, from the first to the final year. The initiative to hold face-to-face meetings came from the university administration. The meeting was attended by Vice-Rector for Educational Activity and General Affairs, Doctor of Medical Science, Associate Professor V.P. Gavrilyuk, Director of IMI of KSMU, Associate Professor M.T. Chahine. The issues related to the special operation conducted by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine were cleared up, emphasis was placed on the need for trust only in official information, on the inadmissibility of the spread of “fake” rumors, speculations, etc. Also, the questions were raised on the format of the educational process organization, attention was drawn to the calm situation in the city and the absence of any restrictions, except for those connected with the epidemiological situation due to the novel coronavirus infection COVID-19. Students could ask any questions they were interested in, as well as questions of concern to their parents and relatives, in a face-to-face format. All student concerns were resolved.
