EVENTS WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE ALL-RUSSIAN ACTION “M.O.Z.G. 4.5 CHALLENGE”

Since 2004, October 29 has been celebrated as World Stroke Day. A stroke is a disorder of blood circulation in the brain caused by a thrombus or rupture of blood vessels. Typical symptoms of stroke: sudden weakness in the arm or leg, more often on one side of the body, numbness of the face, sudden confusion, speech reception difficulty,; slurred speech, sudden decrease or loss of vision with one or both eyes, sudden gait disturbance, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination, sudden severe headache due to an unknown cause.

As part of the World Stroke Day on October 29, an interactive lecture “Acute Cerebrovascular Accident. Current Problem”. The speaker was the Head of the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery, Candidate of Medical Sciences Tatiana Vladimirovna Shuteeva. The lecture was also attended by the Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Doctor of Medical Sciences Oksana Yurievna Ivanova, Head of the Social Center Daria Sergeevna Alyushina and students of Kursk Medical University.

On the same day, KSMU volunteers participated in a series of events supervised by the Head of the All-Russian campaign “M.O.Z.G. 4.5 Challenge”, neurologist Sun Cher Yi, including a master class from the head, who intentionally met with our students.
