17th November 2022

On November 14, 2022, foreign students and teachers of the International Medical Institute of KSMU visited the Kursk planetarium. Students from Malaysia, Myanmar, South Africa, Maldives made an amazing journey through the universe, during which they learned about stars, planets and asteroids, formation of the solar system, and walked along the Milky Way. In addition, the students discovered that one of the stars of the ninth magnitude in the Aries constellation was named after Kursk State Medical University. Now, admiring the starry sky anywhere in the world, everyone who has connected their life with KSMU may remember the alma mater.

The profession of a doctor is far from astronomy, but everything that happens in space is of interest to all mankind. For many students, the excursion to the planetarium was an unforgettable event, because they had never been to such a place before. They said that the dome screen, which creates a presence effect, strikes imagination and makes you feel the full power of the Universe.
