EXPLORING INDIAN CULTURE
22nd November 2022

On November 19, 2022, students and teachers of the International Medical Institute of KSMU became participants and guests of the evening of Indian culture “India: Immersion”, which was held in the Regional Universal Scientific Library named after N.N. Aseev.

All those present plunged into the unique flavor of India, got acquainted with traditions and customs of this amazing country.Students from India became the most active participants of the evening: they told about the history of their country, religions, cuisine, national holidays, the most popular sports games, the “third eye”, taught everyone present a traditional Indian greeting, demonstrated national costumes and jewelry, mastered asanas of Indian yoga.

The audience was presented with a virtual tour to one of the world’s oldest cities, Varanasi, located on the river Ganges, sacred to all residents of the country, and, of course, to Bollywood, the world’s largest film studio. The highlight of the meeting was national songs and dances performed by students.

According to students from Malaysia, South Africa and Maldives, India opened up to them from a new perspective, and now they are determined to get everyone closer to their countries.
