On December 22, the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation held a solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the contest “Best Practices of Promoting a Healthy Lifestyle in the Territory of the Russian Federation”. More than 1.5 thousand non-profit organizations and representatives of 85 regions of the country participated in it.

A student of Kursk State Medical University Vadim Lashin was awarded the III place in the nomination “Best Practices for Social Reintegration of Citizens’ Health” for the project “Smile of life”.

“Today, it is more important than ever to preserve and maintain physical, mental, and, of course, spiritual health. This year, a lot of projects have been presented on the topic of health reintegration, nutrition for children and adults, development of spiritual competencies and assistance to people with disabilities. Yesterday, for example, I trained children with Down syndrome, and they enjoyed rhythmic gymnastics, showing their exercises and achievements. It was very interesting and exciting”, — Irina Viner-Usmanova, Chairman of the Public Chamber Сommittee of the Russian Federation, said opening the event. She noted that volunteers are people who have honor, conscience and desire to turn Russia into a healthy and very attentive country, which does everything to make everyone feel its support and care.

Public Chamber Сommittee of the Russian Federation on physical education and promotion of a healthy lifestyle has been holding a competition for the best practices of healthy lifestyle since 2018. All projects of the contest are aimed at improving the quality of life of people and ensure the achievement of the goals of the Demography national project. Experts note that the success of the population’s involvement in systematic physical education and sports mostly depends on the living conditions and activity of people.

The winners of the competition received certificates for sports equipment, which will be awarded to them by the Ural Kettlebell company, the leader of the Russian market for the production of equipment for weightlifting, fitness and powerlifting.
