20 February 2024 at the KSMU held an educational meeting of foreign students with representatives of law enforcement agencies of the Kursk region and the city of Kursk. The meeting was attended by: assistant prosecutor of the Central Administrative District of Kursk, lawyer 3rd class E.N. Pozdnyakov, senior operative officer of the police department of the Kursk region and the city of Kursk. Pozdnyakov, senior operative of the Centre on counteraction to extremism of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Kursk region N.N. Matyukhina, senior operative of the Department of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Criminal Investigation Department of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Kursk region O.A. Lobova, inspector of the Permit and Visa Work Department of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Kursk region O.V. Batochko, head of the Visa and Registration Department of IMI KSMU N.N. Dyabina, employees and students of IMI KSMU.
The event was attended by 248 foreign students of the 5th year of IMI KSMU from different countries of the world: India, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Nigeria, Thailand and African countries.
Foreign students were informed about the main offences of the Russian legislation. Assistant Prosecutor E.N. Pozdnyakov warned about the danger and spread of fraud on the Internet, phone and SMS fraudsters. O.V. Batochko highlighted issues in the sphere of migration legislation, explained the basic rules of migration registration, rules of registration when travelling in Russia. O.A. Lobova touched upon the issues of drug trafficking and responsibility for distribution and sale of narcotic substances. N.N. Matyukhina introduced students to the concept and forms of extremist activity and explained the responsibility for spreading extremism.
The staff acquainted foreign students with the articles of the Law of the Russian Federation and responsibility for their violation. Foreign students were advised to comply with Russian legislation and be disciplined on the territory of our country.
