On the 14th of April in Medical and Pharmaceutical College of KSMU the Open Doors Day took place.
The event was opened by V.P.Gavrilyuk, Vice-Rector for Educational Activities and General Affairs of KSMU, Associate Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences, who set an active business tone for the meeting, followed by Irina Viktorovna Tolkacheva, its Director, who gave detailed information about the College. Olga Shepeleva, the first deputy executive secretary of the admission committee, told about the admission rules, requirements to the applicants, terms, benefits and other aspects of the admission campaign, and Svetlana Valeryevna Cherney, the director of the Centre of pre-university training of KSMU, told in detail with the help of what programmes today’s high school students will be able to confirm their desire to become doctors.
After answering the questions, the official part of the event turned into the practical part: under the guidance of the leading teachers of the college the most interesting interactive platforms on specialities were unfolded for the guests: “Medicine”, “Nursing”, “Pharmacy”, “Orthopaedic Dentistry”, “Laboratory Diagnostics”. And this is where the high school students, as they say, was “not to tear away”: everyone wanted to try their hand at working with real medical equipment on various simulators, to practice in orthopedic dentistry, in the basics of surgery, emergency care, implementation of various procedures.
