Rector of KSMU Professor V.A.Lazarenko, is well-known in the region not only as an experienced surgeon, head of the largest Kursk higher education institution, deputy of Kursk Regional Duma and Honorary Citizen of Kursk, but also as an active public figure, taking part in various public associations and committees.
Among them: interdepartmental regional standing commission on cooperation in the organization of the fight against crime and social prevention of delinquency, the Public Council on the spiritual and moral education of children and youth of Kursk region, the Public Council at the UMVD of Russia in Kursk region, and other, socially significant associations.
For active life position, effective cooperation and in connection with the 145th anniversary of the day of formation of the penal system of Russia the rector of KSMU professor V.A.Lazarenko was awarded with a commemorative medal “145 years of Penal Enforcement System of Russia”.
