“MODERN ONCOLOGY: FROM THE CENTER TO THE REGIONS – IV”

May 30, 2024 in Kursk Oncological Research and Clinical Center named after G.E. Ostroverkhov started the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference with international participation “Modern oncology: from the center to the regions – IV. G.E.Ostroverkhov All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference with international participation “Modern Oncology: from the center to the regions – IV” started its work. Organizers: Kursk Cancer Research and Clinical Center and KSMU.

Andrey Belostotsky, Deputy Governor of Kursk region, took part in the event.

Welcoming remarks were made by:

Deputy Governor of Kursk region A.V.Belostotsky, Minister of Health of the Republic of Bashkortostan A.R.Rakhmatullin, Director of the University Clinical Center of the Republic of Srpska, Banja Luka Professor Vlado Dzajic, Vice Rector for Medical Work of GomGMU (Republic of Belarus) Associate Professor V.V. Rector of KSMU professor V.A. Lazarenko, who highly appreciated the state of oncological service of the region and thanked oncologists for cooperation in practical training of students and clinical residents of KSMU, as well as awarded the diploma of associate professor in scientific specialty to the chief physician of Kursk Oncological Research and Clinical Center named after G.E. Ostroverkhov Stanojevich U.S..

Every year the conference becomes a major platform for discussion and exchange of experience between oncologists from the Center itself and doctors from other regions and countries. This year, delegations of oncologists from Belarus, Uzbekistan and the University Clinical Center of Republika Srpska are taking part. The forum program includes more than 50 speakers, 11 sections and 8 master classes from the country’s specialists.

“I am glad that such a large conference is held in our region. We are doing our best to improve the quality of medical care. It is for this purpose that medical professionals from almost all over the country have gathered today, because holding scientific conferences is very important for improving treatment methods for our patients,” said Andrei Belostotsky.
