On March 21, 2024 for international students of IMI in the library of KSMU there was held an event of anti-drug orientation “You choose your tomorrow by yourself!”.
The event was organized and conducted by the tutor of the department of socio-cultural adaptation of IMI KSMU M.V. Dugina The event was attended by more than 60 guests: representatives of the international club “Health” of KSMU, students of IMI KSMU of different courses from India, Sri – Lanka, Malaysia, Thailand, Brazil, Botswana, Nigeria, South Africa, Zimbabwe, and parents of newly arrived students from Malaysia. The event was conducted in English. As parents and students noted, everything was interesting and informative, in addition, the students received answers to their questions and received recommendations on how to spend their free time with benefit.
During the event a number of videos about the harm of drugs, about responsibility for their possession and distribution, video about the University aroused special interest of students, and after the event many of them enrolled in sports sections. They expressed their desire to develop their abilities in creative groups operating in KSMU.
In conclusion all guests received information booklets on anti-drug propaganda prepared by the international club “Health”. Despite the seriousness of the topic, the event of anti-drug orientation “You choose your tomorrow yourself!” was held on a positive note and we are sure that our international students will make the right choice in life.
