Today, Kursk State Medical University is rightfully the center of intercultural communication of students from around the world.
Students of the International Medical Institute of KSMU traditionally acquaint Russian and foreign members of our university, residents of our city with their national traditions and holidays. And today IMI students celebrate the most popular holiday in their homeland – the Chinese New Year.
On the eve of the holiday, IMI students from Malaysia and Thailand handed out tangerines with wishes, because the symbol of the Chinese New Year is a tangerine tree. According to the ancient Chinese tradition, during the celebration of the New Year, a guest had to present two tangerines to hosts along with other gifts.
Rector of KSMU Professor V.A. Lazarenko congratulated foreign students on the spring holiday and wished them health and well-being, happiness and prosperity, success in all endeavors!
