1st September 2021

Dear freshmen!

Congratulations on your admission, welcome to our multicultural and friendly family! From now on, you will be proud to wear the title of a student of Kursk State Medical University!

KSMU is one of the leading Russian universities, where people teach and study well. Our graduates are in great demand in the Russian and foreign labor markets. KSMU harmoniously combines the best traditions of national education in the field of healthcare with an innovative approach. This year, the university has successfully completed the procedure of institutional accreditation and assessment of compliance with international standards of the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME), whose mission is to improve the provision of medical care to the population through the introduction of high scientific and ethical standards in medical education.

You have already done a lot – you have gone through a difficult stage of entrance exams, an equally difficult, but interesting path to the profession is ahead. I hope your choice is balanced and deliberate. You will face a lot of information. You will have to memorize, analyze, take notes a lot. I am sure you can handle it and you will show yourself not only in your studies, but also in the social life of the university. Starting from the first year, find a topic that interests you, form your dream into concrete proposals. All the best and the most relevant will definitely be supported by the university administration. I would like to emphasize that the student scientific society, student self-government, volunteer movement are actively developing at Kursk State Medical University, interest clubs, student sports clubs have been created, and creative teams are successfully showing themselves. There is a huge space and opportunities for professional, social self-realization. Good luck!

It is important to understand that hardworking, compassionate people come to medicine, ready to constantly improve in their profession, living and burning with their work. You should already have a sincere desire to help people. This is the only way you can become a real professional and make a successful career.

I wish you initiativity, perseverance and dedication! Good luck, dear freshmen! Dream, strive, act!
