On July 1, 2021, an extraordinary meeting of the Council of Rectors of medical and Pharmaceutical higher educational institutions was held in a remote format with the participation of the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Albertovich Murashko and the Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Tatyana Vladimirovna Semenova, which was attended by the rector of Kursk State Medical University, Professor Viktor Anatolyevich Lazarenko.
The Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko addressed the rectors of medical and pharmaceutical higher educational institutions with information about the increase in morbidity and mortality from COVID-19 in the territory of the Russian Federation and focused on the important role of medical and pharmaceutical higher educational institutions in the vaccination campaign in the regions.
Rectors of the North-Western State Medical University named after I. I. Mechnikov S. A. Saiganov, Astrakhan State Medical University O. A. Bashkina and Smolensk State Medical University R. S. Kozlov shared their experience with members of the council on maintaining sanitary and epidemiological well-being in educational institutions of higher education subordinate to the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation during the admission campaign of 2021, and preparing for the beginning of the academic year, ensuring preventive vaccinations for epidemic indications against a new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) of university employees, students and residents.
