3rd May 2024

With the purpose of consolidating partnership relations between Russia and South Africa, which are members of BRICS, Director of KSMU IMI Chahine Mohamad Toufik visited two cities of South Africa from April 15 to 19. During the visit Mohamad Toufik visited 8 schools, where he demonstrated educational services of KSMU to schoolchildren, held meetings at the University and Consulate General. In Cape Town prospects of deepening of cooperation between KSMU and scientific-educational organizations of South Africa were discussed. The agreement on support and assistance in development of export of educational services for students from South Africa was reached.

At the moment in IMI KSMU there are slightly more than 200 students from the African continent, including 19 people from South Africa, receiving medical education in the walls of our University. It is important to note that the educational program “Medicine” in 2021 passed the international accreditation of the World Federation of Medical Education (WFME) and in 2023 was recognized by the Medical Council of the Republic of South Africa. Five South African graduates have already successfully completed their studies at MMI KSMU and passed the written part of the accreditation exam in South Africa.
