FESTIVAL OF HOLI AT KSMU

On the 14th of April 2024 on the initiative of the community of Indian students and the Council for Interethnic and Interfaith Affairs of KSMU the Festival of colours “Holi and Pongal” was held on the territory of the sports ground of the hostel No.4 of Kursk State Medical University.The holiday “Holi and Pongal” is multicoloured colours as a personification of joy, spring, the beginning of new life.

Orange is the symbol of autumn and harvest, blue is the waves of the ocean, shades of green leaves – there is so much to admire in life.More than 300 students from India gathered to enjoy life and celebrate Holi in Russia, just as they do in their homeland.

The event began with congratulation of the students by IMI KSMU tutor M.V. Dugina, who presented her painting “Holi” to the students and gave the students certificates of participants of the concert “Hello, India!”.

The festival was filled with dances, fun games and bright colours. The Indian Zemlyachestvo expresses gratitude to KSMU administration for the given opportunity to celebrate the favourite holiday in Russia and appreciates the care of the University about students from different countries.
