November 16 is the World Handicraft Day, which UNESCO equated in 1975 with intangible cultural heritage. And although this is an unofficial holiday, lovers of “handmade” celebrate it with pleasure. Foreign students of KSMU did not stand aside either, because there are many talented children among them. The management and teachers of IMI organized a competition for the best work done with their own hands. A hobby unites people of any nationality, gender and age, which is of great importance in the context of distance learning.
Students from Malaysia, Brazil, Botswana prepared crafts in different techniques: embroidery, knitting, macrame, beading, painting on fabric, modeling. The photo exhibition of works attracted a lot of attention of students and staff of the institute, because the ability to create the unusual from the familiar and create beauty out of nothing can leave anyone indifferent.
