On March 22, 2024 international students of KSMU took part in the Festival of national cultures “Friends Nearby” in Kursk. The international event united students of 25 nationalities who live and study in our region. KSMU was represented by students from Nigeria and Sri Lanka.
Firstly, guys got acquainted with the culture of Kursk region. They listened to Russian folk songs, appreciated the beauty of Russian folk costumes in modern performance. During the master classes they tasted traditional Kursk cuisine and got acquainted with recipes for making dumplings, made a rag doll, drew a symbol of our city – the Kursk nightingale and even rode in a horse-drawn carriage. After the festival, both Kurians and international students will make new friends.
