IMI STUDENTS CALL FOR SMOKING CESSATION
19th November 2021

Man is often his own worst enemy. Cicero.

One of the pernicious human habits is smoking. According to the World Health Organization, tobacco causes almost 7 million deaths a year, and by 2030 the number may exceed 8 million. According to statistics, 45% of deaths are directly or indirectly related to tobacco smoking.

On the day of quitting smoking, November 19, 2021, the International Medical Institute hosted a poster competition “MMI Students Against Smoking”, which featured works by students from India, Malaysia, Maldives, Thailand and Brazil. Our body is very vulnerable to smoking, therefore, dear students, we urge you to pay attention to your health and give up this addiction for yourself and your children.
