KSMU HELD A CONCERT FOR TEACHERS AND EMPLOYEES!
26th December 2022

On the eve of the New Year, a concert was held in the assembly hall of the Pharmaceutical building of KSMU for the faculty and staff of the University.

A well-dressed, smiling audience was greeted with music in the hall of the Pharmaceutical building!

– How quickly time flies, – the rector of KSMU professor Victor Anatolyevich Lazarenko noted in the festive speech. – It seems that yesterday we were going to congratulate each other on the new 2022… Yes, it was difficult for our country and the Kursk region. And, despite all the difficulties, our university steadily moved forward. All this was done thanks to the people who are sitting in this room and those who are still on duty. The University has achieved many new milestones in the international sphere: it became a member of the European and World Federation of Medical Education, got into a number of ratings of foreign countries. Thus, the well-known British rating agency included KSMU and we took 68th place among 700 universities of the Russian Federation. The assessment was based on 14 indicators, and it was independent, because our participation in this case was excluded. We have purchased digital equipment, renovated one-fifth of the dormitory area, opened new educational sites, including a virtual clinic. I consider the coming new year to be a springboard, as a platform for new ideas, successful solutions, professional achievements. I want to wish that in the new coming year, we sit down at a table with great pleasure and say: “Peace to the world!”.

After rector’s greetings there was a concert prepared by students of KSMU and creative teams of the Center of Creative Development: academic choir “Gaudeamus”, dance couple Egor Izvekov and Daria Medvedeva, Zvyagina Anastasia (vocal), ensemble of a folk song “Sedmitsa” and ensemble of a pop song “Harmony”, folk dance group “Yablonka” and others.

This evening the famous New Year hits “Happy New Year” and “Snowflake” from the movie “Charodei”, as well as carols and “V lesu rodilas’ yolochka” were performed. All present sang to artists with pleasure. The concert ended, of course, with the appearance of Father Frost, Snow Maiden and the symbol of the year – Rabbit. Fairy-tale characters congratulated the audience and held a win-win lottery with gifts.
