On May 2, the Head of Oncology Department of KSMU Associate Professor Khvostovoy V.V. visited Samarkand Oncology Center and Oncology Department of Samarkand State Medical University together with his colleague, Associate Professor of Oncology, Radiotherapy and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery Department of the First Moscow State Medical University named after I. M. Sechenov Vadim Vladimirovich Cheremisov. Vadim Vladimirovich Cheremisov.
The Russian oncologists were welcomed by the Chief Physician, Head of the Oncology Department of Samarkand, Associate Professor Firdavs Gairatovich Ulmasov. At the meeting they discussed the working aspects of the organization of oncological care, nuances of performing surgical interventions, as well as teaching oncology.
On the initiative of Institute of cluster oncology of PMSMU named after I.M. Sechenov the participation of KSMU in multicenter research “Comparative oncomorphology and determination of immunohistochemical and molecular-genetic predictors of carcinogenesis in patients with squamous cell carcinoma of upper digestive tract” was proposed. V.V.Khvostovoy confirmed the possibility of participation of KSMU in the study with the prospect of joint publications in the future.
