Malaysia Day in KSMU

November 25 the Day of Malaysia was held in KSMU, which was devoted to education and sports. Rector of KSMU, Professor V.A. Lazarenko welcomed the guests and students of the Malaysia community.
The event was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps of Malaysia in the Russian Federation: Mr. Faizal Bin Shani, the Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Malaysia in the Russian Federation, Mr. Farid Bin Zawawi, First Secretary of the Embassy, Mrs. Izzatun Nasiah Binti Mustafa, Third Secretary of the Embassy, Mr. Muhammad Sallehuddin Bin Mohd Dilif, Advisor on Education.

Starting from 04.11.2023 till 24.11.2023 the University hosted competitions on different kinds of sports among the students of Malaysia “My Games-2023”. 255 students from Malaysia took part in competitions in 9 kinds of sports: badminton, netball, basketball, handball, cyber sports, chess, volleyball, futsal, frisbee.

Rector of KSMU V.A. Lazarenko, staff of the Embassy of Malaysia in the Russian Federation and Vice-Rector for Educational Activities and General Affairs V.P. Gavrilyuk congratulated the participants of the competition and awarded medals. As a sign of gratitude and deep respect Victor Anatolievich presented Mr. Faizal Bin Shani with a watch with the emblem of the University and the flag of Russia as a gift, which will keep time in the Embassy of Malaysia in the Russian Federation and will become a symbol of further cooperation with KSMU.The leader of compatriotry of Malaysia Izham Al Kusiairi Bin Kamal Zaman on behalf of all students thanked the rector and representatives of Embassy for support in organization of competitions and gave memorable gifts.

At the end of the event the students of IMI KSMU delighted the audience with unusual Malaysian dances with elements of martial arts, demonstrated bright national costumes and color of their native country. A gift from the rector was the performance of the studio “Insight” with the number “Russia, forward!” and dance of the folk dance ensemble “Yablonka”.

At the end of the event diplomats from Malaysia held a meeting with Malaysian students.
