1st November 2022

The exhibition MEDtober was opened in the hall of the pharmaceutical building of KSMU. Students – participants of the graphic art studio – a young team of the Center for Creative Development of KSMU presented their artworks. The desire to draw, express thoughts with the help of graphics, is inherent in many people. It is for those who have the acute question to be a physician or an artist. –

The studio started its work as part of the Summer Adaptation Camp for freshmen of KSMU. Now more than 40 students of various faculties of our university are constantly studying in the studio of graphic arts, many of them are freshmen. The head of the studio is Angelina Andreyevna Gusenkova, a fourth-year student of the Faculty of Medicine.

The idea of the exhibition appeared on the basis of the Inctober World Art Challenge of Artists, which is traditionally held in October. The creative team was supported by Vice-Rector for Educational Work, Social Development and Public Relations A.A. Kuznetsova and Director of the Center for Creative Development M.N. Izvekova.

A total of 37 graphic works are presented at the exhibition. In the Studio of Graphic Art of KSMU group in the VKontakte social network, the participants of the studio published daily in October a work or works dedicated to a specific day of MEDtober, and the meaning, content that they put in each specific drawing or sketch.

The exhibition will last until November 24. We invite all students and teachers to get acquainted with the unique creativity of our medical students and the MEDtober works.
