On 17 April 2024 at the Department of Russian Language and Pedagogy the annual IX International Scientific and Methodological Online Conference “Methods of Teaching Foreign Languages and RCT: Traditions and Innovations” dedicated to the Year of Family took place.
Wishes of excellent work to the participants of the event were voiced by the co-organisers of the conference: M.L. Popova, Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in Sri Lanka, First Secretary of the Russian Embassy in Sri Lanka, A.S. Shevyakin, Dean of the Faculty of Economics of the Kursk State Agrarian University named after I. I. Ivanov, A.S. Chernov, Dean of the Faculty of Economics of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education “Kursk State Agrarian University named after I. I. Ivanov”. D.A. Chernov, Vice-Rector for Educational Work of EE “Belarusian State Medical University”, E.P. Pustoshilo, Head of the Department of Russian and Belarusian Languages of EE “Grodno State Medical University”.
During the conference there were plenary speakers, including well-known scientists – philologists, teachers – practitioners, heads of departments of universities of Russia and the Republic of Belarus.
More than 230 participants from 74 cities of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Venezuela, Spain, Cyprus, China, Mongolia, Moldova, Serbia and other states took part in the symposia of the conference.
The reports presented at the conference aroused keen interest of all participants, contributed to the processes of internationalisation of the educational environment and exchange of experience in teaching foreign languages in order to improve the quality of educational services provided to domestic and foreign students.
