PHYSICIANS TRANSFER KNOWLEDGE TO TEACHERS
25th November 2022

According to the Law on Education, every pedagogical worker is obliged to possess first aid skills. Since 2017, the Kursk region has established interdepartmental cooperation between KSMU and Kursk Institute for Education Development. KIED organizes sending of teachers to the medical university, where they receive the necessary knowledge from professionals. The classes are conducted by the staff of the Federal Accreditation Center of KSMU.

– Such meetings are held regularly, at least twice a year – comments the head of the center I.I. Dolgina. –  This time, we trained 25 teachers in the FAС interactive training laboratory. These are teachers of secondary schools from all over the Kursk region.

Teachers of Physical Education, Technology and Physics became the main listeners and active participants of the first aid lessons. It is these lessons where the risk of injuries to children is traditionally increased.

The FAC employees conducted trainings on diagnosis and first aid in case of loss of consciousness, clinical death; bleeding arrest, transport immobilization, etc. The formation of practical skills was carried out using simulation and medical equipment, mannequins and simulated patients. The trainees gained practical experience in performing the algorithm of actions in various critical situations. Legal advice was also given, and legal issues arising in provision of assistance to minors were resolved.

– Such classes traditionally take place in the atmosphere of active interest. Each of us understands that life often depends on competent actions to provide first aid,– the head of the courses from KIED O.N. Shchadnykh shares impressions. – In total, since 2017, more than three hundred education workers of the region have been trained at KSMU. They received very valuable knowledge and skills confirmed by a special certificate. We will continue the useful cooperation in the future!
