PREVENTION OF FIRE AND WATER SAFETY FOR IMI FIRST-YEAR STUDENTS

On April, 27, 2022 a meeting with experts of the Ministry of Emergency Situations took place at the Kursk State Medical Institute for IMI first-year students arrived for training as a part of the preventive work on promoting and ensuring fire safety, training and improving the preparation of the population for emergency situations.
The meeting was attended by: the inspector of the Supervising Activity Department and Preventive Works of General Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Kursk region Kesaev N.Y., the export of Fire Safety and Civil Defense of KSMU Volokhova N.V., staff and IMI first-year students.
During the meeting the students were provided the instruction for fire prevention and actions of the population in case of fire in residential and administrative buildings as well as conduct rules in emergency situations and safety requirements for the operation of electrical appliances.
N.V. Volokhova, the export of Fire Safety and Civil Defense of KSMU, introduced students to the rules of using fire extinguishers, gas masks, and fire protection cloth. The students were also shown videos about the rules of evacuation from the hostel and the use of fire extinguishers in residential premises.
Due to the start of swimming season the inspector of the Supervising Activity Department and Preventive Works of General Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Kursk region Kesaev N.Y. reminded the MMI students about safety rules on the water.
It is worth noting that such meetings of foreign students with representetives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are held annually and have already become traditional.
