Within the framework of preventive work on propaganda and provision of fire safety, education and improvement of preparation of the population for actions in emergency situations, on 16 April 2024 in the walls of Kursk State Medical Institute there was held a meeting of students of the International Medical Institute of KSMU, who arrived in Kursk, with staff of profile departments. It should be noted that such meetings for foreign students with employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and KSMU are held annually and have already become traditional.
The meeting was attended by: G.A. Alyabiev, senior state inspector of the GIMS Centre of the State Inspectorate of EMERCOM of Russia in Kursk region, G.T. Eremin, deputy head of the State Emergency Situations Department, N. V. Volokhova, specialist on fire safety and civil defence of KSMU, Director of the Directorate of the State Emergency Situations Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in Kursk region. V. Volokhova, Director of the Student Campus O.N. Tarasova, Deputy Director for General Affairs of IMI KSMU T.F. Dremina, Office Manager of the Department of Sociocultural Adaptation of MMI KSMU E.V. Tarasova, first year students of IMI KSMU.
In the course of the meeting with foreign students the briefing was held, general rules and requirements for fire prevention and actions of the population in case of fire in administrative buildings, general rules of behaviour in various emergency situations, as well as safety requirements for the operation of electrical appliances were presented. The rules of living in hostels and peculiarities of admission regime on the territory of KSMU were especially detailed.
The specialist on fire safety and civil defence of KSMU N.V. Volokhova acquainted students with the rules of evacuation from the hostel. The senior state inspector of the Centre of GIMS GU MES of Russia in Kursk region G.A. Alyabiev reminded the students of IMI about the rules of safety on water, prohibition of campfires in the coastal strip and water protection zone.
