RECTOR OF KSMU V.A. LAZARENKO AT THE COUNCIL OF RECTORS OF MEDICAL AND PHARMACEUTICAL UNIVERSITIES OF RUSSIA

The Council was held on April 5 within the XIII All-Russian conference with international participation “A week of Medical Education”.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Health of Russia Mikhail Murashko, Chairman of the Association “Council of Rectors of Medical and Pharmaceutical Higher Educational Institutions”, Rector of Sechenov University Peter Glybochko, Deputy Minister of Health Tatiana Semenova, Director of the Department of Medical Education and Personnel Policy in Healthcare of the Ministry of Health of Russia Lyudmila Letnikova, Deputy President of the Russian Academy of Education Gennady Onishchenko, President of the National Medical Chamber Leonid Roshal.
When opening the meeting the Health Minister Mikhail Murashko highlighted that one of the main tasks of medical universities and the medical education system remains the training of highly qualified personnel for primary health care.
The Chairman of the Association “Council of Rectors of Medical and Pharmaceutical Universities of Russia” Peter Glybochko called on the universities of the Association to take an active part in solving the tasks set by the Minister. “The increase in the quality and accessibility of medical care, the development and reinforcement of primary health care contribute to the achievement of one of the main goals – to increase the duration and quality of life of our citizens, form the conditions necessary for the sustainable development of the regions of Russia.”
The Deputy President of the Russian Academy of Education Gennady Onishchenko took the initiative to hold the All-Russian contest “The best young teacher in the field of health personnel training”. Teachers under the age of 39 who implement educational programs at the specialty and bachelor’s level in the specialties of the Healthcare group are invited to participate. The initiative of the contest was sadopted by the Association unanimously.
The Deputy Health Minister Tatiana Semenova made a report on the formation of a system of continuing medical education – from early career guidance, targeted education and training for primary health care to the deployment of a structure that ensures the quality and volume of training in professional knowledge and skills that meet the needs of the healthcare system. Also, reports of other participants of the event were presented within the framework of the Council.RECTOR OF KSMU V.A.
