The year 2022 has been declared to be the Year of Basic Sciences for Sustainable Development. The progress of fundamental and applied sciences is ensured by an increase in the level of well-being, meets human needs and strengthens human health. The contribution of research in the last two years is especially obvious, when the whole world continues to fight the COVID-19 pandemic with joint efforts.
On Thursday, February 04, 2022, the International Scientific Conference “University Science: Looking into the Future” dedicated to the 87th anniversary of Kursk State Medical University was held in a remote format.
Opening the conference, the rector of Kursk State Medical University, Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation Professor Viktor Anatolievich Lazarenko, Vice-Rector for Research Work and Innovative Development Professor Vyacheslav Alexandrovich Lipatov, Member of the Standing Committee on Education, Science and Culture, Deputy of the Regional Duma of the seventh convocation Irina Vladimirovna Antsiferova, Head of the Department of the Education and Science Committee of the Kursk Region Irina Alexandrovna Stepanova addressed the audience with the welcoming words.
More than 500 scientists and specialists took part in the conference, including 232 persons with scientific reports. Among the speakers were leading professors and associate professors from the universities of India, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Ukraine, Belarus and, of course, Russia. The conference program included a plenary session dedicated to the fundamental sciences and 23 symposia, which addressed topical issues within the scientific areas of modern science. On the results of the conference, a collection of scientific papers was published.
