On the eve of Victory Day the students of KSMU – activists of committee of students of Kursk State Medical University together with the student media center “Med-TV” held the action “St. George Ribbon”.
The black and orange St. George Ribbon, whose colors symbolize fire and which itself is a symbol of valor of the Russian soldier, has long been an indispensable attribute of all military-patriotic events.
Holding this ribbon in your hands, attaching it close to your heart, you involuntarily begin to think about the “heroes of bygone times”, about the exploits of our grandfathers and great-grandfathers on the fields of past battles, mentally or aloud saying to them words of gratitude for a peaceful sky, for the opportunity to live, work and bring up children.
Today the St. George ribbon is also a symbol of gratitude to the heroes of the Soviet Union, always accompanied by a wish to our soldiers to return home with victory.
