START OF THE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM “VOICE OF THE GENERATION. VICE-RECTORS»

The official opening of the Voice of the Generation. Vice-Rectors educational program was held at the Mashuk Knowledge Center in Pyatigorsk . The program was developed by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia in cooperation with the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs.

The first participants of the program were about 140 vice-rectors and employees of the youth policy and educational activity units of universities from 52 territorial entities of Russia, Vice-rector for Educational Work, Social Development and Public Relations of KSMU Kuznetsova Alesya Anatolyevna was among them.

Valery Falkov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, addressed the participants of the first face-to-face module with a welcoming speech.

“The Ministry has done a lot of work to ensure that education is one of the priority tasks at the university. In particular, in each university where there were no vice-rectors responsible for this activity, the corresponding positions were introduced. Today, another big step is the formation of a community of people who will develop and complement the tasks of youth policy at the forefront of this most important direction in close cooperation with students and teachers”, Valery Falkov said.

During the opening ceremony, the participants were able to talk with Grigory Gurov, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia, and Madeleine Baturina, Advisor to the Head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, who noted the key role of the Vice-Rector’s unit in the implementation of youth policy in universities and in Russia as a whole.

The Vice-Rectors also discussed educational activities and youth policy with Denis Ashirov, Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, and Anton Serikov, Deputy Director General of the Russian Znanie Association and Head of the Mashuk Knowledge Center.

Participants of the in-person part of the Program have already “immersed” in a four-day educational workshop in order to form elements of a strategy for youth policy, exchange best practices in working with young people.

In total, within the framework of face-to-face modules of the Program, 500 vice-rectors and employees of the departments of youth policy and educational activity of universities will be trained.
