On 16 April 2024, the 10th Anniversary X Student Scientific Conference “Topical Issues of Oncology” was held at the A.F. Tsyb MRSC in Obninsk. The event included reports from Obninsk Institute of Atomic Energy, Kursk State Medical University, N.N. Burdenko Voronezh State Medical University, V.A. Almazov National Medical Research Centre, N.I. Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University, I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia.
The conference became a scientific platform to discuss issues in the field of epidemiology and diagnostics, as well as drug, radiation and surgical treatment of oncological diseases. Students of Kursk State Medical University A.I. Alyoshina, A.E. Klimenko, A.E. Kunakova, V.A. Minenok, P.E. Kopylova, A.A. Guslyakova, O.S. Dolzhikova worthily presented the results of their scientific research.
After the conference, A.A. Nevolskikh, deputy director for medical work of the branch of FGBU “NMC Radiology” of the Ministry of Health of Russia, conducted an excursion with a visit to the memorial study of Academician A.F. Tsyb. Then students went through all departments of the oncological centre, in which they got acquainted with modern methods of treatment of oncological diseases, saw the latest medical equipment in operation. At the end of the excursion they visited the sculpture of the doctor on duty.
The students express their gratitude to the Rector of KSMU Professor V.A.Lazarenko for the opportunity to take part in the conference and get new knowledge, which will be useful in their future professional activity!
